Robert "Bob" May Obituary

Born on March 20, 1949, Robert “Bob” Wayne May lived a life filled with love, laughter, and dedication. On February 29, 2024, at the age of 74, Bob bid farewell to this world, leaving behind a legacy that will forever be cherished.  Bob was the beloved son of Eddie Jean Burk and Othel Leon May. His family was his rock, providing him with unwavering support and endless memories. Although his brother David has passed on, Bob found solace in the presence of his sister Lerna and brother-in-law Richard. Bob's greatest joy in life was his only child, Bobbi Gail Intchauspe, and her husband Ryan. He found immense pride in his grandchildren, Samuel “Sam”, Abigail “Ms. Abby”, Maxwell “Max”, and Gamble. They were the light of his life, and his love for them knew no bounds.  Throughout his life, Bob wore many hats. From his days as a Sheriff’s Deputy to his service in the Texas Air National Guard, Bob exemplified dedication and service to community and country. Later and from which, he retired, Bob found fulfillment in his work as an elevator repairman.  He was a proud member of the International Union Elevator Constructors: IUEC LOCAL 21.  GO UNION! He was proud to serve as a National Union Representative, where he advocated tirelessly for the rights and welfare of his fellow workers.  Beyond his professional accomplishments, Bob was a man of simple pleasures. He cherished spending time with friends, sharing stories over a cold beer, and indulging in his passion for Willys Jeeps. An avid enthusiast, Bob restored many Jeeps and ensured that his daughter and grandchildren had their own piece of his legacy to treasure, a Willys jeep each of their own.  As we bid farewell to Bob, we remember him not only for his accomplishments but for the love, laughter, and joy he brought into our lives. His spirit will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.  Rest in peace, Bob. Your memory will be a beacon of light in our lives forevermore.  A "Meet and Greet" service in Bob's honor in Scurry, Texas.  Arrangements will be announced at a later date.  Cremation is under the direction of River Glenn Cremation and Funeral Services.
