Richard "Rick" Fred Dunigan, born on June 12, 1961, in Ukiah, California, passed away on March 7, 2023, in Fort Smith, Arkansas. Known for his lively spirit, Rick was always up for a good time, especially enjoying grilling outdoors and spending quality moments with his friends. Described as a "big kid" at heart, he cherished playing games with his nieces, and nephews. A passionate sports fan, Rick's favorite team was the Raiders. He was renowned for his generous nature, always willing to lend a helping hand and known to stand his ground when needed.  Rick adored his faithful companion, Buddy the dog, and had a deep appreciation for rock and roll music. He is survived by his son, Anthony Roland Dunigan of Dublin, Georgia, sister, Ericka Thomas, and her husband, Garry; niece, Randi Thomas Denney, and her husband, John; nephew, Nick Thomas, and his wife, Emily all of Stigler, Oklahoma; as well as five great nieces and nephews: Britt, Rylee, Saige, Cal, and Rance Thomas. Additionally, he is survived by his uncle James Duke and wife Sue of Kerrville, Texas;  and aunts, Mary Ball and Loretta Ellard and husband Don all of Ukiah, California. Rick was preceded in death by his father, Fred Dunigan, his mother, Thelma Ruth Scarberry, and her husband, Jerry "Sparky" Scarberry, and brother, Ray Dunigan.  Rick will be fondly remembered as a wonderful individual who embraced life and cherished the company of loved ones, leaving behind a legacy of joy and warmth in the hearts of his family and friends.  A service with Matt Duke officiating will be held on Monday, March 11, 2024,  11:00 a.m., at Cross Community Church, 504 South Pocola  Blvd, Pocola, Oklahoma.  Cremation is under the thoughtful care of River Glenn Cremation and Funeral Services.
