Nancy Jean Moore passed away on Tuesday, November 14, 2023 in Barling, Arkansas. Nancy's life was one filled with diverse interests and a deep commitment to her family and community. She was born in Fort Smith, Arkansas, to Odell and Virginia Pearson. Nancy had a zest for life, enjoying trips to the movies and the occasional visit to the casino. Her leisure activities also included working on crossword puzzles and creating blankets, showcasing her creative and intellectual sides. A special mention goes to her constant companion, Fuzz, her beloved dog, highlighting the deep bond she shared with her furry friend. Professionally, Nancy dedicated herself to the medical field as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), embodying a spirit of kindness and generosity. Her nurturing qualities extended to her role as a proud parent to children: Frank Cameron and Lois of Greenwood, Arkansas; Carolyn Brasher and Danny of Van Buren, Arkansas; and Peggy Nunn. Nancy's legacy lives on through her six grandchildren: Ryan Cameron and Alex, Wesley Cameron and Mikayla, Cody Kester, Daniel Maestas, Jessica Robinson and Baz, Samatha Lauman and Joe, Shana Netherlain, Shelby Netherlain Miller and Ed. Additionally, she is survived by five great-grandchildren: Noah Cameron, Lily Cameron, Joshua Lauman, Camryn Lauman, Joseph Lauman and Maghen Williamson. Family was central to Nancy's life, and she leaves behind sisters Floranne Caroll of Roland, Oklahoma, and Trudy Brunemeyer and Jeff of Fort Smith, Arkansas. Despite the deep sorrow of her passing, Nancy will be fondly remembered by a host of family and friends who will miss her greatly. Nancy was preceded in death by her daughter, Penny Netherlain, her parents Odell and Virginia Pearson, and her brother, Larry Pearson. To honor and remember Nancy Jean Moore, a visitation service is scheduled for Friday, November 17th, 2023, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the River Glenn Chapel, 1805 North A Street, Fort Smith, Arkansas. The Graveside Service will take place on Saturday, November 18th, 2023, at 2:00 p.m., Woodlawn Memorial Cemetery, 4211 State Line Road, Fort Smith, Arkansas. The services are under the direction of River Glenn Cremation and Funeral Services.
