On Resurrection Sunday, our beloved husband, father, and Welo, Juan Daniel Cardenas, Sr., 74 years, gained his wings on March 31st, 2024, surrounded by his loving family.  Juan Daniel Cardenas, Sr. was preceded in death by his father Daniel Cardenas and mother San Juana H. Cardenas.  His grandparents Miguel and Maria Hernandez, all from his home state of Texas.  He leaves behind all his love and best wishes to his wife of 49 years to Margaret G. Cardenas, his children Juan Daniel Cardenas, Jr., Olivia (Tim) Lebouf from Kansas, Rachel G.C. (Mark) Brown from Arkansas, Miguel C. Cardenas from Arkansas; his sisters, Beatrice Cardenas, Georgia (Eddy) Salvana, Rose (Blas) Castillo all from Texas; his thirteen grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren and cousins all from Texas.  Juan, Sr. retired in 2005 from Action, Inc. Juan enjoyed volunteering at Kimmons Jr. High School for many years.  Was an avid Dallas Cowboy fan and enjoyed watching many football and basketball games.  The Cardenas family would like to sincerely show their thanks to Heart of Hospice and their loving staff and volunteers for their efforts in providing quality care during this time. In lieu of flowers, please consider donations to the St. Judes Research Hospital, A visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., Wednesday April 3rd, 2024 at the River Glenn Chapel, 1805 North A Street Fort, Smith, Arkansas.
