James Cook Obituary

James Christopher Cook, aged 24, of Hartford, Arkansas, passed away on January 23, 2024,  in Fort Smith, Arkansas. James proudly served his country in the National Guard and had a deep love for the outdoors, engaging in activities like hunting and fishing. Known for his fearlessness in dismantling and rebuilding, he particularly enjoyed working on old cars. James, a skilled certified welder, was employed by Tuff Country Construction. His compassionate nature extended to animals, as he often rescued strays found on the roadside. He is survived by his beloved son, Jasper Alexander Cook, his father Marvin Cook, stepmother Tammy Cook of Texarkana, Texas, brother Michael Cook and Haley Quick of Muskogee, Oklahoma, and grandmother Joyce Chapin of Poughkeepsie, Arkansas, along with numerous other family members and friends.  He is preceded in death by his beloved mother, Sherry (Haynes) Cook. Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 27, 2024, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. at the River Glenn Chapel, 1805 North A Street, Fort Smith, Arkansas.  Services under the thoughtful care of River Glenn Cremation and Funeral Services.
