Cheryl Ann Carpenter, age 68, of Cameron, Oklahoma, passed away on Sunday, January 21st, 2024, at Heart of Hospice in Fort Smith, Arkansas. Born on January 11th, 1956, in Oklahoma City, Cheryl was the daughter of Robert Chance and Ruby Howell. She married Greg Carpenter, and together they shared a remarkable forty-year journey. Cheryl, a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister, found joy in gardening, witnessing the beauty of new life blossoming through her nurturing touch. An avid reader and a fan of Hallmark and Christmas movies, Cheryl brought warmth to her home, making it truly special for her family. Cheryl leaves behind her loving husband Greg, her beloved children Frank Daws Carpenter and wife Kyla of Barling, Arkansas, Justin Carpenter and wife Sylvia of Georgetown, Kentucky, Brian Carpenter and wife Tiffany of Tampa, Florida. She was truly blessed with seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Also, she leaves her siblings Bill Reilly and wife Lisa of Okmulgee, Oklahoma, Deborah Gasaway of Morris, Oklahoma, Nina Warr and husband Rex of Rogers, Arkansas, Robert "Bobby" Chance Jr., and Jim Chance, two brother-in-laws Gary Lawson of Midland, Texas, and Toby Lee Lawson and wife Carol of Newcastle, Oklahoma. Preceding her in death was her mother Ruby Howell, her father Robert Chance, brother Earl Dunbar, and sister-in-law Becky Reilly. A memorial service officiated by Greg Duncan will be held on Friday, January 26th, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. at the River Glenn Chapel, 1805 North A Street, Fort Smith, Arkansas. Honorary Pallbearers will be Billy Crandell and Jacob Tucker. May Cheryl rest in peace, and may her family find solace in the memories of the wonderful life she shared with them. Cremation is under the thoughtful care of River Glenn Cremation and Funeral Services.
