Carolyn Rose Obituary

On February 15th, 2024, Carolyn Sue Rose, aged 83, peacefully passed away surrounded by her loved ones, transitioning to her eternal home. A resident of Hackett, Arkansas, she was an active member of the Hackett First Baptist Church, where she was known for her devout prayer life, particularly on behalf of her family. Carolyn lived a vibrant life filled with love and devotion, often spending her time joyfully accompanying her children and grandchildren to their various activities and creating cherished memories with them, including taking trips to the beach . She found pleasure in watching western movies and engaging in craft projects. A woman of unwavering faith and boundless hope, Carolyn's selflessness and consideration for others were evident throughout her life. Not only did she lovingly raise her own children, but she also dedicated many years to nurturing her numerous grandchildren, earning her the affectionate title of  Granny from many. In her youth, Carolyn pursued an interest in drag racing with her husband Jim of twenty years demonstrating her adventurous spirit and love for excitement with her involvement with the experimental cars. She is survived by her beloved children: Michael and Beverly Dugan, Debbie and Floyd Rowe,  Robbie and Kay Dugan, Patrick Dugan, Tami Williams, Eric and Patricia Dugan,  Mike and Sherry Rose,  Piper Dugan, Dena Hacker, Cathy and Charlie Lively, Gary and Monica Baber, Marla and Treance Hill, and Telairra Lovell. Additionally, Carolyn was blessed with numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren,  great-great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews,  that will greatly miss her. She is also survived by her sister, Laveda Gloyne of Washington State. Carolyn will be fondly remembered by a host of family and friends. Preceding her in death is the father of  her children Jim Dugan, Dale Baber, and her late husband Jerry Rose; her parents, Boyd and Audrey Estep, and one sister, Evelyn Livley. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 21, 2024, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., at the River Glenn Chapel, 1805 North A Street, Fort Smith, Arkansas. The graveside service, officiated by Reverend Michael Dugan and Brother Joe Silva, will be on Saturday, February 24th, 2024, 1:00 p.m., Slaytonville Cemetery, Slaytonville Road, Hackett, Arkansas. Pallbearers will include Dillon Dugan, Pat Dugan, Eric Dugan, John Duncan, and Pete Dugan.  The Nurses Honor Guard of the River Valley will extend their services to recognize Carolyn for her time and dedication as a LPN     Nurse. The Services are under the thoughtful direction of River Glenn Cremation and Funeral Services.
